This client is a mortgage broker and financial planner based in Sydney, NSW.
In March ‘23, he’d had his worst sales quarter in 5 years, and was scared.
In May ‘23, he asked to turn off the ads due to the level of inbound enquiry being too much.
And this was achieved with a pretty average contact and conversion rate too!
In this first campaign, we decided to bundle up just one of this broker’s bog standard services he offers,
And we slapped an eye-catching, easy to understand label on it - the strategy was ready.
The ad campaign talked about the benefits of this strategy,
And simply offered for interested people to download it for free.
94 leads, average cost $18.17 per lead.
The natural thing to do next with these interested people was to ask if they wanted a personalised explanation of how the strategy could work for them.
We did this via SMS and email follow up, and had around 12 leads request a time to speak with the broker.
The broker also called and spoke to another 50-odd leads.
And we had a handful of direct email conversations with leads as well.
Now like I said, 4% conversion on contacted leads is nothing to scream about from the hilltops…

And many of these leads are still in discussions with the broker, they just aren’t across the line - yet.
With the lessons from this campaign, this broker will now focus on refining his follow up timing and processes,
And educating the leads (automatically) after they become leads, to both increase conversion and to be even more efficient with his time.
